It's July in Florida, and alternators are melting down in the summer heat. The 3-year-old alternator in my F150 just called it quits, and it was a pricey OEM unit. Didn't even need to get the meter out for this one. The burnt smell, along with the black carbon chunks crumbling out of the cooling vents are an obvious sign. After a quick Amazon search, I placed an order for this unit. It arrived well packaged and in good condition. It was a direct fit unit. No re-clocking or pulley changes are required. Being a brand-new alternator means there are no core charge hassles either. After installation, I fully charged the battery with a charger to protect the new alternator before starting. It's been in the truck for over a month now, and it is still working perfectly.
Not much I can say it is as the listing describes. It is a direct bolt in for your Ford Vehicle. The quality is as good and if not better than the OEM one. My truck was needing one , it was making a noise, I think the bearing was going bad. Glad I found this one it was quite a bit less than what the auto parts store wanted.It needed no modifications to install and was a direct replacement. It came with the pully installed, the one at the auto parts store came without the pully. Glad I found it I saved quite a few dollar.

This alternator will fit your Ford Ranger and replaces numerous part number alternators. It appears to be made very durable. It should perform like your OEM alternator. It should last a long time.This alternator is relatively easy to install. I think it is priced about right, although you may be able to find a better deal elsewhere, Amazon does give you that 30 day return window if needed.This is a 95 Amp alternator so while it isn't the most high output, it is exactly what a lot of OEM alternators output. The casting is good and the pulley spins nicely. Give it a try if you need one.
